Oils and Acrylics
Majority of Jack’s fine art artwork is either oils, acrylics, or a combination of both. He loves the texture, the look and the feel that oils and acrylics achieve. Whether using a brush, palette knife or other means to apply paint to canvas or to birch board, oils and acrylics allow him the opportunity to blend, layer and achieve his desired end result.

The blue, aqua, white and gold waters surrounding the fish were applied in a way such that the colors in the lower layers pop through the other colors in the top layers producing color cells that add an amazing look and feel to this painting.

I used a lot of metallic paint, which within certain light sources changes the purple areas to gold and back to purple again depending on your movements in relationship to the painting on the wall.
